Our Primitive Figures are loosely inspired by three starting points - Cycladic idols from 3’000BC found in the South Aegean, the primitive carvings of African figures in wood, and finally they draw inspiration from the fabulous elongated figures in bronze and clay made by the Swiss sculptor Giacometti. We create these figures from glass and glass powder which lends to the feeling of antiquity or we make them to look like they are carved from ivory like the Japanese netsukes.
 
All our individually crafted Primitive Figure Talismans are approximately L:70 x W:25 mm
