Our Torsos are based on the Grecian Venus de Milo created in 100 BC. It is commonly thought she represents Aphrodite the goddess of love and beauty. The Primitive figures are loosely inspired by three starting points - Cycladic idols created in 3’000BC from Greek prehistory, primitive carvings of African figures in wood, and finally they draw inspiration from the fabulous elongated bronze figures by Swiss sculptor Giacometti.
